Power,
extreme power, but not with out its
downside. The Proton Storm is an
intresting mod to say the least. You can
recieve this weapon during gameplay when
you pick up two Thunderbolts.
The model
is nicely done, it opens up when you
fire, and the skin does work well with
the model but it's a little plain. Some
extra time could've been spent on the
skin.
When you
press the fire button, the weapon begins
to let out a steam effect that was a good
idea, but looks sort of silly and you
have to wait for 6 seconds for it to fire.
The blast of energy engulfs the entire
screen except for a small hole in the
center. This effect is just to much, it
would have been better if it were a
smaller blast so that the player could
still see around them. The other problem
is that each shot requires 50 cells.
Overall,
The Proton Storm is an intresting weapon
that provides you with absolute power,
for a few shots anyway. With a little
more time, this mod could've been a sure
winner.
