Looking
for a mod with a new twist for Quake.
Then just download the Seeker Falcon.
When you get your second Thunderbolt you
recieve the falcon. It rest on your arm
waiting for release. Once you do, just
sit back and let the bird do the work.
First off,
the skin and the model could've been a
lot better. I guess they were going for
more of a robotic feel. It also comes
along with its own screaching bird sound
effect, which is a nice touch, but I
think it would have fit better if the
falcon would have looked more realistic
than futuristic.
The falcon
will go off on its own and search new
targets. It will search and destroy any
enemy in the room and then clear out any
open hallways. You can call your falcon
back to you at any time by pressing the
fire button again, once done the falcon
will display a message saying, "I'm
coming". It will remain free until
you call it back or it runs out of ammo.
Sometimes, the falcon does get to far
away from you and gets lost. In this
case, it teleports back to you.
It uses 10
cells each time you release and it uses
one cell out of the ten for each target
it kills. When it returns to you, you
will get back any un-used cells. If it
has to teleport back to you then you will
loose any remaining cells.
As far as
using this in your standard gameplay, it
doesn't really add a lot to it. What's
the fun in shooting a profectile and
letting it perform all of the slaughter,
but like I said, it's an intresting mod.
