"This is my first foray into Quake editing. I used this level to learn as much as I could about editing and to try and get out of the 'Doom 2D mentality'."

Being that this level was Matt's first, I need to give Evil World a break. Honestly though, I was pretty disappointed in this one. The map is very quick. I was very surprised when I entered the portal and it was over.

Textures are all standard id textures but have been done well and the architecture provides for some intresting sights. Unfortunately, the level is very linear and the really great features of Quake's 3D engine are left out.

Gameplay has its ups and downs. There are some areas where fighting is very spread inside of these large rooms, but a few are crammed into little hallways where it is hard to manuver.

If you're looking for some classic works by Matt Sefton then I would suggest one of his other levels posted below. If your looking to just have a collection of decent levels then download away.
