Here we go - one of my all time favourite maps for Quake3!! It's an extremely tech map that represents some kind of base carved into the side of a mountain. I played this recently at a LAN party, and I'm always playing it offline - it's a real cracker! So what's so good about it? Read on.

Construction is great. The author has carefully avoided making his curves look gothic - they look artificial like they would if made from steel or something. The choice of textures rules - it's so tech it's unreal! The custom teleporters look cool - some kind of glass in front of silicone circuitry. There's loads of other neat features too. Take for example the Haste item outside. You can see it through the window, but are damned if you know how to get to it! Look out for the areas with hot water (cleverly disguised Lava) at the edge of the walkways - nasty scaldings will be had otherwise. There's a lot of activity up on the roof where the Megahealth and the all-important Grenade Launcher are. When it comes down to the last couple of frags, you're gonna need to be up there raining grenades down on other players. I wonder if that has anything to do with the title of the map?

There's a fair spread of weapons, items, armour and ammo - weapons including RLs, Railgun and Lightning Gun. Other ones too, but like I said, the Grenade Launcher is the important one here. The coolest tech map ever and highly, highly playable. I really recommend getting this one - more than any map previously. So why are you still reading?!!! I'm off to play this map again - and then maybe I'll play it again after that :)
