***QUAKE3STUFF MAP COMPETITION ENTRY***

Okay, we all know Foreign_Militia likes to create BIG maps (see some of his other work like TerritoryDM and SpasmDM) but this is the biggest yet - in fact it's so big it's just insane and it cost the author a higher position in our competition. The reason for this is that unless you have a GeForce graphics card (or something better) and a serious system, this map will bog your machine down before you even connect to a game. If you have such a system, read on because this map could be just for you :)
Aside from performance issues, this a beautiful map. A LOT of work has gone into the construction here, from the amazing use of custom textures (the Turkish art gallery) to the careful arrangement of the light. Huge gothic stle arches align each corridor and carefully detailed domes sit on top of them. This is the biggest and most impressive temple Foreign_Militia has built yet. I didn't find any brush errors and was just amazed at how well this map was built. The author has included his trademark glass panel teleporter as well as a completely new element, a fountain in the courtyard which is also a teleporter. A very good idea that you might take a while to cop onto, had I not told you about it that is.
Playwise, this map is way too big for Tourney (even though the author calls it "medium-sized") and would be best suited to team DM. There's a room chock full of items and weapons that would make a very interesting battle area in a team game - unfortunately I'll probably never see it 'cos my system has serious trouble with this map :(
If you're lucky enough to own a GeForce, you just got luckier. This Turkish delight of a map should be on your HD today. If you're a low-end graphics card user like myself, don't bother with this one. However, all of Foreign_Militia's other maps are system-friendly, so if you like the look of this map try out some of his other work (they're usually named in this list with a DM at the end eg. AltarDM, SpasmDM etc).
