    Q3DM12_ctf by {FooKilla}

    Reviewed by RawShark webmaster of RawShark's Quake2 maps

    Filename: q3dm12_ctf.pk3

    The highly playable and extremely well constructed ID map, Q3DM12, has been somehow converted to a CTF map here by custom author {FooKilla} - he obviously acquired the original .bsp as a sample with a level editor. Now, it's not the map I would have chosen to convert to CTF, due to the complexity of the original, but let's disregard that.

    There are items galore,as in the original. Weapons placements have been changed around a bit - so expert SP Q3A players will have no advantage (HA!) and the placement of the flags in a bizarre choice. Be extremely careful no to fall off into the void while grabbing the enemy flag!! It's one hell of a run across a treacherous environment to get back to your own base - I suggest you bring plenty of support with you.

    I'm pretty sure that expert CTF clans will enjoy playing this. Newcomers and non-CTF fanatics - forget it!! This map is way to complicated. It also gets laggy in places, so I recommend keeping your teams below 8 players unless you have high-end machines and ISDN/Cable connections. A big thumbs down goes for there being NO bot file, a definite "no-no" in my book 'cos I can't afford to be online as much as I'd like. Bad move on an otherwise good map that isn't exactly entirely the work of this author - leaving me to ask "What work exactly DID you do on this map m8?!"
