    Short Circuit by Binaryshi

A small and extremely tight tech map, set in a space base of some type - although I don't want to see the strange creatures who occupy this base, 'cos they must be far from humanoid! You get to different areas of the map by either sliding down long tubes, or flying up them aided by bounce pads. There are ramps also, but the more you play, the less you'll use them. The author has opted to not use the curving features of Q3Radiant, so that he may convert the map for other games in the future - and this is where I think he messed up. The map would have looked soooo much nicer if all those tubes where curved. Nevertheless, the map looks great and is one of the nicest tech maps I 've seen in a while - I demand more tech!!!

The main weapons are RL, PG and SG - but the GL comes in so handy when chasing enemies down the tubes. A couple of well calculated bounces can make all the difference! There's a Regeneration item and a nicely placed Quad Damage also. This map reminds me so much of a Quake2 map it's unreal. I think the author needs to a bit longer to make the transition between the games. Still, it is a good map - I'll be keeping it on my hard drive - and it's great for Tourney games. Nice work and worth grabbing.
