  • Relix Lan Party

The Event: Relix Lan Party 11-17-00

    The Place: My Home, Michigan

    The Players: Buddz_99, Thruster, Relix

The Map Cycle:Custom - shots posted only from Rhapsody in Blue

Well, it wasn’t the first Lan Party we have had by any means, but it was one of the best in my opinion. When we decide to do a Lan I put together a custom map cycle as I have several great maps to choose from. From this match I decided to post shots that focused on Dubbilan’s latest beta "Rhapsody in Blue".

If you haven’t downloaded the beta, grab it now as it is an excellent map! Due to my nephew Thruster not being able to play on a regular basis, it was obvious early on that the war would be between Buddz_99 and myself. I am a keyboard/mouse man, while he is trying out different "opportunities" in regards to a (Yuck!) joystick/mouse combo.

I must admit, the usage of his controls at the moment makes him a hard target, what with being able to strafe, turn, duck, etc. I did give him quite a pursuit though! We traded shots off and on the entire match, with him going on to victory at 50 frags, myself second (What an ugly word) with 39, and Thruster bringing up third with 8.

I will admit, for Thruster not being able to play daily, he did rail me on several occasions. I still believe that if I could organize a Lan with at least 8-10 opponents, that would have to be the best.

    Rock on,
