    Arrakeen Delta by Smack2[SiN]

Okay, this is by far the weirdest interpretation of an element of the Dune novels from Smack2. Here we have a bizarre spacey-bouncy map that is supposed to be the Royal Palace ship belonging to House Atreides. Don't get me wrong - it's a nice map, just kinda strange. It looks incomplete or something.

There are Shotguns and Railguns and a Rocket Launcer. There's MegaHealth and there's armour. All you need now is some concentration because it's damn easy to go flying off this map into the void - in fact I think some of the bounce pads are intended to send you there! There's also holes in the floor that send you hurtling under the map and then drop you in the centre of the chaotic battle in progress - complex thinking was done by the author here.

The centre of the map is a bounce pad that leads up to the MegaHealth - an easy place to get picked off by a sniper. There are 2 giant hallways constructed with pillars that cast interesting shadows (if you have a good graphics card, unlike yours truly!) and provide for a good game of hunt and seek (there was actually a weapon in the novel called a hunter/seeker, hmmm). Weapon of choice is the Railgun.

It would seem to be a bit of an expert map for 4-5 players. Newbies stay well clear - it's way too easy to die here. If you must play, ensure that you know your Litany against Fear - I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear etc etc. Good luck!!
