    Barracuda's Castle by Barracuda

Reviewed by RawShark webmaster of RawShark's Quake2 maps

    Filename: barracudactf.pk3

The author claims this to be a 16 player CTF map. Stop right there. No f*!$ing way is this a 16 player map!!! 4on4 is pushing it for crying out loud! So, I'm reviewing this as a 3on3 CTF map, and in that sense it's a nice map. As a Quake2 map expert (I think I can call myself an expert at this point) I spotted right off that this is a scaled down remake of the 2Fortgore CTF map for Quake2, and most fans of Quake2 custom maps will know that one, and hence deduce that this Quake3 map is fairly playable. Weapons galore, nice use of textures. BFG is insane for such a small map - author is obviously a nutter! Too small of a map to say much more on. Would have been nice if it actually was big enough for 16 players. Damn shame it's not. Will stay on your HD for several weeks and will then be forgotten about.
