***QUAKE3STUFF MAP COMPETITION ENTRY***

Oh, it is soooo tempting to fill this map up with about 8 bots and go mad at it for hours on end - but in reality this map is best played in 1on1 (v human or v bot) mode for about 10 minutes at a time. Do this, and you'll never get tired of this absolute gem of a gothic style map. If it had of been just myself doing the judging in the map competition, and not an average of overall scores between myself and Ged, this map would certainly have come in 2nd or 3rd - and not 4th, which is formidable, but don't get the author a prize, do it? A great pity, 'cos he has worked very hard on this sucker and must have spent hours concentrating on texture alignment (many of the textures being wonderful custom textures by himself). The best I can do for the author is tell you just how much this map rules and try to persuade you to download it!!
Just look at the screenies (of which I can show you no less than 7 'cos there is soo much in this map). Marvel at the gothic architecture. Wow at the weapons placement. Freak out over the custom teleporter. Wet yourself with fear as you gaze at the Fog of Death. Rejoice at the fact that this map has a Railgun and finally congratulate yourself for listening to RawShark (for once you idiots!) and downloading this map. Today is an okay day to die because it means you can examine the floor textures on your latest map download from Quake3Stuff a bit closer :)
So let me sum this up and get back to playing Q3A - the map rules 'cos it has nice weapons (RG is best), custom textures that are superb (also has one hell of a shader), it has TWO, count 'em, TWO Rocket Launchers, is really well built, the bot file is great (they play really well - my ass was well kicked by Bones on a skill level I simply refuse to disclose!) and finally (and what more reason do you maggots need?), 'cos I say so. So, feel persuaded yet? Go on, download it - you know you want to. If you STILL need persuading, I'll add it's only a 1.8 meg download. Now, what excuse could you possibly have left? (Unless of course you've recently lost both arms in a bizarre farming accident, in which case I'll understand!). Enjoy.
