    Doom by Bitterman

The map itself is actually called Doom, not Doomgate - all very confusing! Apart from this issues, this is a great map. The wide outside area is great for rocket exchanges and inside is nice for the Lightning gun - accessed by a transporter to the roof. I don't actually recognise this as being a conversion of any Doom map that I know, but the general appearance reminds you of Doom a lot, especially with the custom textures supplied by the author. Weapons placement is far and wide, so you're going to have to work hard to get a good weapon.
Some dodgy use of brushes, not very smooth and curvy, as you would expect from a Quake3 map, but the bot file appears to be fine and the speeds are all okay - so online and offline play are both possible and enjoyable. More players the better too. Get your Doom skins out :)
