Loaded this up and thought, hmm, another spacey-bouncy map. Then had a good look around and had to first pinch myself and then check that this wasn't a Vexar map! Talk about bizarre! This is definately the most original map I've seen, and one of the most surreal. Never before have I seen ALL of the texture sets used throughout such a small map that seems to bring in so many environments, from lava filled-rooms to half-built rooms filled with blue fog. So, I loaded up some bots and started to play, anticipating a really neat game. What I didn't anticipate was what is definately the main feature of this map. Falling off the edge usually means death, right? Not this time! Anyone falling off the edge here is mysteriously hurled back up into the air and back into the action - possibly better armed than before! The author has constructed a great map with excellent gameflow that is guaranteed to keep you fragging for hours.
There's an abundance of items, including Quad Damage, Flight and Invisibility, making for a very interesting DM with so many factors to be considered. Weapon of choice has to be the BFG, if you can get it. I didn't think the author would get away with the choice of textures, but he has - it looks great. The lighting is probably the most imaginative ever in a map of this kind and works well with the textures. It was definately a risky idea, but the result is astounding and was definately worth said risk. I'm very impressed - mad I didn't download this sooner. Will definately be using this at the college software department end-of-year LAN party! A must-have map, defo. Download now or just give up living!!!
