From the movie trilogy "Evil dead" comes this unique Model, and I must say that it is a real tribute to the character in the film. This Model is one of my first downloads, and I can truthfully say that I have never really tired of it. (to date) . Part of the reason for that is the very high entertainment value of this Model, which brings some very good sounds with it and also some very aggressive chat scripts that might provoke some of us.
For starters, the first time I saw it , my first thought was, this is one small Model, and diminutive he is, suffice to say that the RL looks like an oversized coconut tree trunk, when he carries it. But I was soon to learn that small he maybe, but he'll give you one hell of a whipping if you're not careful.
The Model contains 3 bots; Ash (from the movie), Possessed Ash, and Autolycus. All 3 have very good bot files, but I think the best fighter is Autolycus. The model seems to use all weapons, but I fancy the RL and the SG are his favorites. Especially the with shotgun , the Autolycus botis deadly dangerous, even on a lower skill level. In most situations he packs quite a punch, and I've noticed on the bigger Maps and wider open areas his weaknesses could be exploited, but on the darker Arenas where stealth and surprise should be your strengths, this Model comes into his own.
The build of the Model is quite simple, and there is nothing spectacular about it. Some special features were the cybernetic(?) hand replacing the one that was lopped off, and I think some hard work has gone into getting the features of the face. The result is very good with the Model retaining an aggressive and presumptuous expression. The rest of the body contains nothing special, and as I said before because the model is small it is not very noticeable (unless you're in very close quarters.). The Autolycus Bot has a slight moustache while Possessed Ash, has those inflamed eyes.
What really makes this model special is the sounds and chat scripts. The sounds really bring out a comical flavor in the bot, and in the heat of the battle sometimes could even provoke players into mistakes. The taunt is a very good example for this, although I think the taunt expression (which is just a lifting of the hand with weapon) could have been better. The chat scripts too are highly enjoyable, and don't be too surprised to find some nasty language , because as far as communication goes, this Model doesn't hold back.
There is some very good support for Team and ctf in the bot, but I think the skins could have been a bit clearer. You sometimes get confused , because the colors are too dark and because he is so small it adds to the chaos.
Not many complaints about this Model, and for most of you insane fraggers out there, this is a must download.
